The soya crop was introduced in Switzerland at the end of the 80ies. The research station Agroscope ACW is breeding soya with the goal to develop varieties adapted to the climatic conditions of Switzerland and the requirements of the market. It implies for example the use of the harvested products for human consumption. An example is the selection of varieties with large, uncoloured grains which result in a better flavouring profile.
DSP Ltd is co-owner of the varieties from the breeding program of Agroscope ACW and is in charge of the maintenance breeding as well as of the production of basic seed. In addition, DSP Ltd is engaged in the variety trials.
